The skull with horns, the trophy of the European elk, was obtained by animating a real hunting trophy. Argentumization is the process of replacingorganic matter molecules with silver atoms. The result is an absolute copy of the derivate sculpture corresponding to the style in art called «hyperrealism».

Elk horn. Decoding the «growth code» allows to restore the horn texture lost during the animal’s life in natural conditions. In the background is a natural Elkhorn. In the foreground is an argentumized copy of it. The texture lost in nature has been restored. The viewer can see the antler as it would have been, not as it has become.
